Wilma Jean (Hosick) Gilland

Mrs. Wilma Jean Gilland, 93, of Salem, KY passed from this life on Friday, May 21, 2020, at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Center in Paducah.    

Mrs. Gilland dearly loved her family and was a member of New Union General Baptist Church. She liked to cook and spend time with her family.

She is survived by one daughter, Donna Gipson and husband Dennis of Prosper, TX; two sons, Rick Gilland of Sturgis, KY and Doug Gilland of Somerset, WI; five grandchildren, Jason, Bobby, Kimi, Christie, Russell; eight great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.                                                

She was preceded in death by her husband of 72 ½ years, J. D. Gilland; her parents, George and Nancy Jane Millikan Hosick; four sisters, Dorothy Hosick, Leva Collins, Ailene Croft and Etta Agent; two brothers, Recil Hosick and Allen Hosick; and one granddaughter, Kayla Gilland.      

Funeral Services are scheduled for Monday, May 25, 2020, at 2 PM, in the chapel of Boyd Funeral Directors and Cremation Services with Rev. David Davis to officiate. Burial will follow in New Union Cemetery.

Friends and family may visit on Sunday, May 24, 2020, from 5-8 PM, in the chapel of Boyd Funeral Directors in Salem.
