Terry Edward Young

Mr. Terry Young, 83, of Salem, KY passed away Saturday, December 19, 2020 at his home.

He was the son of the late Johnie Richard and Annie (Rustin) Young, born December 10, 1937 in Crittenden County, KY.

Terry loved to coon hunt, fish, and restore old cars and trucks.  He won Best Hot Rod in the Salem Springlake Car Show in 2018; and once raised and trained a Grand World Knight Champion coon dog.

He is survived by two daughters, Kristie Guess (Pat) of Marion, and Karen Nolan (Marty) of Salem; one son, Johnie Young (Christina) of Salem; three sisters, Sue Young Belt of Marion, Connie Cowan (Dewey) of Marion, Bonnie Penn of Owensboro; one brother, Stanley Young of Marion; seven grandchildren; and fifteen great grandchildren.

Terry was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Judy (Appel) Young; one son, Terry Lee Young; grandson, Aaron Nolan; sisters, JoAnn Long, Mona Blake, June Norman, Aretta Stevenson, Wanetta Stevenson, and Edna Middelton; brothers, Richard and James Young; and his parents.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 22, 2020, 12 Noon, in the chapel of Boyd Funeral Directors and Cremation Services, with Rev. Steven Kirk officiating. Burial will follow in White’s Chapel Cemetery in Crittenden County.

Friends may visit with the family from 10 AM until the funeral hour, in the chapel of Boyd Funeral Directors and Cremation Services.
