Randy Bee Chittenden (61) of Salem departed this life on the evening of Thursday, April 28, 2022 at his home. Randy had been in the care of Mercy Health Hospice and his loving wife, Helen since his stroke in November 2021. He served as a member of the Army National Guard.
Randy is the son of the late Roberta Shafer and James Barney (J.B.) Chittenden of Frances. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Helen Taylor Chittenden of Salem, and one daughter Abbiegail Dawn Chittenden of Prattville, AL. Randy also leaves behind four brothers, Kenneth Duncan (Nita) of Mountain View, WY; Billy Duncan (Faye) of Marion, KY; Doug Duncan (Joyce) of Bowling Green, KY; Robert Chittenden (Patti) of Omaha, IL; two sisters: Peggy Reed of Salem and Gail Reed (Charles) of Cedar Grove, KY; three sisters-in-laws: Terry Duncan of Collinsville, IL; Anna Duncan of Marion, KY; and Karen Chittenden of Smithland, KY; four grand-daughters: Lacie Townsend of Piedmont, MO; Ashley and Crystal Wood of Salem, MO; and Robin; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In addition to his parents, Randy was preceded in death by his son Robbie, three brothers: Cecil Duncan, Jimmy Duncan, and Lewis Ray Chittenden and one sister, Pauline Nichols; and two brothers-in-laws: Jimmy Reed and Luther Nichols.
A memorial service is being planned for Randy’s family and friends. Details will be announced at a later date.
