Patricia Sue Adams Obituary

Patricia “Sue” Adams, a devoted servant of Christ, was called home to her eternal reward on March 3, 2026. Born on Valentine’s Day in 1940 to Joe and Betty (Loveless) Cobb, Sue’s life was a beautiful testament to the love and grace she found in her Savior.
A woman of profound prayer and unwavering devotion, Sue walked through this life with a "servant’s heart," touching every soul she met with the light of the Gospel. To know Sue was to see the fruits of the Spirit in action; she was truly loved by all who were blessed to cross her path.

On January 9, 1956, she entered into holy matrimony with Clarence “C.V.” Adams. Together, they built a life centered on faith and family until his passing on January 26, 2011. In her later years, she was blessed with the companionship of her husband, Shelby Bridwell.
Sue was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Clarence; her parents; and her granddaughter, Tyanna Glover; Step-son, Jeffery Bridwell; and great grand-daughter Taylor Robertson. She was also the last of her siblings to be called home, joining Ruth Loveless, Dorothy Lemon, Mary Bass, James Thomas Cobb, Carl Odell Cobb, Imogene Grimes, Fannie Jean Hayes, Frank Wayne Cobb, Cena Cobb, and Jimmy Deon Cobb in the presence of the Lord.

Her legacy of faith continues through her children and grandchildren, whom she cherished and covered in prayer:
• Children: Clarence “Yoyo” (Sherrie) Adams, Greg Adams, Jeff (Julie) Adams, and Samantha (Logan Hodges) Adams.
• Grandchildren: Daniel (Paige) Adams, Justin (Leah) Adams, Greg (Aela) Adams, Jr., Jill (Jeremy) Crawford, Jaclyn (Benjamine) Kissel, Anistyn Emmons, Alexis Emmons, Bowen Hodges, Baylor Hodges, Banks Hodges, Lance Robertson, and Trad Robertson.
• Great-Grandchildren: Shelbi and Tysen Glover; Reed and Millie Kate Adams; Jocelyn, Josiah, and Evelyn Adams; Easton and Maddox Crawford; and Joelan and Brexlie Kissel; Lake, Landon and Lila Robertson.
• Husband: Shelby Bridwell
• Darrell (Liz) Bridwell, James (Mary) Bridwell, Darlene (Jack) Swaenepoel

While our hearts are heavy, we rejoice in the promise of the Resurrection and the knowledge that she has heard the words: "Well done, good and faithful servant; enter thou into the joy of thy Lord." (Matthew 25:21)
