Nona Laverne (Brown) Croft

Mrs. Nona Laverne Croft, 92, of Marion, KY, passed from this life Monday, March 28, 2022 at her home.

Mrs. Croft was born July 6, 1929 in Sheridan, KY, to Sylvan and Ileen Franks Brown.  She was a retired school teacher having a Murray College Teaching Certificate and taught in various one room schools in Crittenden County.  She enjoyed reading, classical music, fishing and gardening.  The grandchildren were very special to her.  She attended Siloan Methodist Church and Tolu Methodist Church.

Mrs. Croft is survived by three daughters, Linda Croft Hudson, Brenda McKinney, and Beverly Croft Sherrell (Tim), all of Marion, KY; two sons, Gary Allen Croft (Vickie) of Clermont, FL and Jerry N. Croft (Raye) of Marion, KY; seven grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Neil Croft; sister, Lucille; brother, Benny; grandchild, James Allen Croft; and her parents.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Thursday, March 31, 2022 at Boyd Funeral Directors and Cremation Services with Rev. Larry Davidson to officiate.  Burial will follow in Love Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 AM until the funeral hour, Thursday, March 31, 2022, in the chapel of Boyd Funeral Directors and Cremation Services.
