Mrs. Vera Lorraine (Davis) Nelson

Mrs. Vera Lorraine (Davis) Nelson, 64, of Salem, passed away Monday, July 17, 2023 at Livingston Hospital and Healthcare Services.
Vera enjoyed fishing, camping, bingo and her family.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Mikel Nelson; two daughters, Misty (Levi) Taylor of Ekron, KY; and Christy Herrington of Salem; two sisters, Vickie (Larry) Long of Salem, and Vonnie Barbarash of St. Louis, MO; one step sister, Mary Jane Thompson; six grandchildren, Masherra Warren; David Betlej; Tyler Herrington; Briana Taylor; Lucas Taylor; Madison Herrington; two greatgrandchildren, Audrey Fugate and Amara Betlej. 
Vera was preceded in death by her parents Leon Leonard and Glendale Davis and mother Zulema “Pat” Jennings and a brother Jamie Davis.
Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Saturday, July 22, 2023 in the chapel of Boyd Funeral Directors and Cremation Services, with Bro. Gary Hardesty officiating.
Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until the funeral hour, Saturday, July 22, 2023 in the chapel of Boyd Funeral Directors and Cremation Services.
