Mary Dunning Obituary

Mary Alice Dunning, age 77 of Burna, was called to her heavenly home on March 11, 2025 from Mercy Health Lourdes.  Born on April 6, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Wayne and Rena Marie Fiers McDowell.   

She is survived by children Mary, Becky, and Tom Dunning, and daughter-in-law Tammy Dunning of Burna, her sister Nola Rogers (Randall) of Ledbetter, brothers James McDowell (Charlotte) of Eddyville, Roy McDowell (Debbie) of Ledbetter, Vaden McDowell (Vonda) of Paducah, and Gary McDowell (Melissa) of Ledbetter, several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jackie Dunning, and sister Peggy Jean Hurley.

She was a member of Good Hope Missionary Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be Monday, March 17, 2025, at 1PM, in the chapel of Boyd Funeral Directors and Cremation Services, with Bro. Bill Summers officiating.  Burial will follow in Birdsville Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family on Monday, from 11 AM until the funeral hour, in the chapel of Boyd Funeral Directors and Cremation Services.
