Linda (Foster) McDowell

Mrs. Linda (Foster) McDowell, 70, of Marion, KY, passed away Monday, November 30, 2020 at Baptist Health Paducah.

Mrs. McDowell was a retired teacher having taught English and History for over 30 years at Crittenden County Middle/High School.  In her early years of teaching she taught French classes.  She enjoyed reading, gardening and being with her family and especially the grandchildren. 

She is survived by her husband of 33 years, James “Butch” McDowell of Marion, KY; two daughters: Kelly Grady (Zack Olson) of Louisville, KY and Amy Byford (Jared) of Marion, KY; step-daughter Jeana Lowery (Daniel) of Eddyville, KY; two brothers:  Don Foster (Brenda) of Burna, KY and David Foster (Teresa) of Burna, KY; sister Jan Tasa (Randy) of Henderson, KY; her mother Dorothy (Fletcher) Foster of Salem, KY; six grandchildren:  Noah Byford, Jordy Byford, Beau Byford, Evan McDowell, Marley Phelps and Jacob Phelps.

She was preceded in death by her father, George Foster; and step-son Jason McDowell.   

Cremation was chosen by the family.
