John Edward Mathis

Mr. John Edward Mathis, 56, of Grand Rivers, KY, passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at his home.
He was a 1st Classman in the United States Air Force. He grew up attending Benton Church of Christ.
John is survived by his wife, Connie (Reynolds) Mathis; mother Dwanna Mathis (Smith); daughters, Samantha Bailey (David) of Washington, D. C. and Ashley Sharp (Josh) of Olive, KY; son Sonny Mathis (Courtney) of Paducah, KY; three step children, Jake Reynolds (Bridgette) of Many, LA, Hoyt Reynolds (Amberle) of Marion, KY and Victoria Jessee (Ryan) of Many, LA.; brothers Gary Wayne Mathis of Murray KY and Steven Mathis of Benton, KY; eight grandchildren.
He was preceded by his father Joe Wayne Mathis.
Visitation will be Thursday, December 29, 2022 from 5:00-7:00 PM in the chapel of Boyd Funeral Directors and Cremation Services.
