Iwona Sloma

Ms. Iwona Sloma, 54, of Grand Rivers, KY, passed away Sunday, February 8, 2026, at her home.

Iwona loved to cook and feed others, fish, was a Kentucky Wildcat fan, and liked to watch a good sunset. She was a selfless person, always putting others before herself.  Iwona especially loved her children and grandchildren.

Iwona is survived by her children, Maciej Sloma of Grand Rivers; Aneta (Robert) Raymond of Gilbertsville, and Maggie (Canaan) Wring of Salem; grandchildren, Nikolai, Beckham, and Blaire; and siblings, Piotr Kania, Miroslaw Kania, and Elzbieta Kuckozajaszkowska.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Stefan and Helena (Mieszkowska) Kania.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at 1PM, at the Grand Rivers Community Center.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a local food bank of your choice, in memory of Iwona.
