Hattie Pearl (Britt) Martin Mitchell

Mrs. Hattie Pearl Britt Martin Mitchell, 86, of Burna, KY, passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at Salem Springlake Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Mrs. Mitchell was a member of Old Salem Baptist Church; and American Legion Post 217 Auxiliary. One of her memorable moments was when she crossed the Arctic Circle in October 1979.  She enjoyed flowers, cooking and being outdoors.  Her family was her pride and joy with her two cats, Gussy and Abby, being greatly loved.   

She is survived by her husband of 46 years and 9 months, Robert Mitchell of Burna, KY; two daughters, Teresa Ford (Steve) of Orlando, FL, Deborah Suits (Ken) of Burna, KY; two sons, Randy Martin (Margaret) of New Johnsonville, TN, Robin Martin (Michelle) of Talbot, TN; one step-daughter, Felicia Belcher (Rudy) of Henderson, KY; six grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Elizabeth Estes and Beverly Hurst; and her parents, Floyd D. and Mini D. Richards Britt.

Funeral services will be Saturday, December 14, 2019, at 2 PM, in the chapel of Boyd funeral Directors and Cremation Services with Bro. Danny Starrick and Bro. Gary Hardesty to officiate.  Burial will follow in Old Salem Cemetery.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 PM on Friday, December 13, 2019 in the chapel of Boyd Funeral Directors and Cremation Services.
