Geraldine Madonna (Reed) Koon

Mrs. Geraldine Madonna (Reed) Koon, 96, of Salem, KY passed from this life on Friday, November 6, 2020 at Livingston Hospital and Healthcare Services in Salem.

She was born on April 6, 1924 in Metropolis, IL to Oscar and Effie (Green) Reed.

Mrs. Koon had previously worked at Potter & Brumfield and Siemens.  She was a longtime member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Marion, KY.

She is survived by her daughter, Janice Ballard of Calvert City, KY; sons, Michael Koon of Marion, KY, James Koon of Salem, KY and Allen Koon and his wife, Tina, of Metropolis, IL; 14 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and several great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dick Koon; sons, Stanley Eugene Koon and Gary Eugene Koon; several brothers and sisters; and her parents.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, November 12, 2020, in the chapel of Boyd Funeral Directors and Cremation Services with Ed Miniard to officiate.  Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery.

Friends may visit from 11:00 AM until the funeral hour on Thursday, November 12, 2020, in the chapel of Boyd Funeral Directors and Cremation Services in Salem, KY.
