Gary Eugene Tharp

Mr. Gary Eugene Tharp, 73, of the Lola Community of Salem, KY, passed away Saturday, July 10, 2021 at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center with family by his side.

Gary attended Lola Pentecostal Church and worked for Hutson Ag.  He enjoyed Nascar, westerns, playing high nine, and his family. 

He is survived by his wife, Susan Tharp; three daughters, Sandra Jackson of Salem, Melissa Webb of Manchester, TN, and Jennifer Knowlton of Marion; one step-son, Matthew Collins (Kristi) of Melissa, TX; eight grandchildren, Austin, Josh, Lukus, Jase, Natalie, Maddie, Adaline, and Jeffery; two great grandchildren, Khole and Liam.

Gary was preceded in death by his mother, Macie Tharp Hughes; and one brother, Junior Tharp.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 14, 2021, at 11 AM, in the chapel of Boyd Funeral Directors and Cremation Services with Rev. Tim Fouts officiating.  Burial will follow in Lola Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family Tuesday, July 13, 2021, from 5 to 8 PM in the chapel of Boyd Funeral Directors and Cremation Services.
