Dr. James Walter Kesterson, 84, passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at his home in Salem.
James attended Purdue University where he earned his DVM and PHD in Pathology. He was a veterinarian and was the Vice President of Abbot Laboratories inc. He enjoyed big game hunting, deep sea fishing, jewelry making, wood working and riding around his land.
He is survived by daughters; Jerlyn (Craig) Hartman of Loveland, CO., Jennifer Queen of Libertyville, IL., Rebecca Kesterson of Chicago, IL. and Jamie Kesterson of Los Angeles, CA.; Sisters, Margaret Bartlow of Noblesville IN. and Betty (Del) Brantley of Salem, KY.; brother, James Edward Kesterson; grandchildren, James Aaron Hartman, Nathaniel Ford Hartman, and Gabrielle Queen.
James was preceded in death by his parents, James A. and Hazel B. (Freeman) Kesterson; son, John Blair Kesterson; sister, Stella McCormick; brothers, Charles Kesterson and Bobby Kesterson.
