Doris Ann (Large) Stubblefield

Mrs. Doris Ann (Large) Stubblefield, 83, of Marion, KY, passed from this life on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at the Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah, KY. 

Mrs. Stubblefield was born in Crittenden County on September 6, 1938 to Byron Fletcher White and Allie Mae (Dooley) White.

She taught school on an emergency certificate at Forest Grove School and later went to work at Moore’s Business Forms before becoming a full-time homemaker.  She attended Eastlake Baptist Church in Hobart, IN, and Pinckneyville Baptist Church in Salem, KY.

She is survived by her husband, Carrol Stubblefield; two daughters, Lisa Large Cockrell of Frisco, TX, and Stacey Gibson of Hobart, IN; grandchildren, Carter Gibson and Skylar Gibson, both of Hobart, IN; special granddaughter, Crystal Cockrell Jasch of League City, TX; and several nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Avery Carl Large; sisters, Juanita Belt, Lois Barnes and Deane Deboe; and her parents.

Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM, Saturday, November 20, 2021 at Boyd Funeral Directors and Cremation Services with Rev. Jim Wring to officiate.  Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery. 

Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 AM until the funeral hour, Saturday, November 20, 2021 in the chapel of Boyd Funeral Directors and Cremation Services in Salem, KY. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center, 1530 Lone Oak Road, Paducah, KY  42003.
