Carl Lester Holt

Mr. Carl L. Holt, 86, of Benton passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at Mercy Health Lourdes in Paducah.
Carl retired after 32 years as a school teacher and was a land surveyor for over 50 years. He enjoyed being outdoors raising cattle, fishing, farming and gardening. He was a deacon and Sunday school teacher at Little Cypress Baptist Church in Possum Trot for 45 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and especially his grandkids.
Carl is survived by; his wife of almost 60 years, Beulah Nell Holt; sons, Kendall (Rhonda) Holt of Possum Trot, KY. and Kerry (Phuong) Holt of Lucas, TX.; sister, Ida Jane (Buster) Allgood of Calvert City, KY.; brothers, Lois (Sally) Holt of Paducah, KY and Jimmy (Kay) Holt of Boaz, KY.; grandchildren, Jared Holt and Justin Holt of Possum Trot, KY and Abby Holt of Lucas, TX.
He was preceded in death by his parents Taft and Birdie Josephine (Dycus) Holt.
Funeral Service will be Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at 11 AM in the chapel of Boyd Funeral Directors and Cremation Services in Salem, KY, with Bro. Barry Summerville officiating.
Burial will follow at Old Salem Cemetery. 
Friends may visit with the family Monday, May 27, 2024 from 5 PM until 8 PM in the chapel of Boyd Funeral Directors and Cremation Services.
