Bro. Harold David Rittenbery

Bro. Harold David Rittenbery has joined his true love Jean Oliver Rittenbery in heaven where they are shouting on the streets of gold.  He passed away on Monday, July 17th 2023.  
Harold was retired.  In Indiana, he was a construction worker and truck driver. Most recently in Kentucky, he was a preacher.  He was still preaching in the rest home.  You would always find him talking to people about Jesus and encouraging them to dedicate their life.  He also enjoyed singing.  Everyone knew “The shoe song” was Bro Harold’s song.  He would sing it with his daughter, Tina.
Harold left behind 3 children: Angela Neese (Alan), David Rittenbery (Lori) and Tina Dunkerson (Barry). He had 7 grandchildren: Jennifer (Matt), Brian (Cortney), Jeremy (Hailey), Justin (Tessa), Ashley (Michael), Kailey and Molley.  He had 10 great grandchildren: Hudson, Alyssa, Holland, Silas, Grant, Ethan, Hattie, Sawyer, Isaac and Sadie. He was also survived by a sister, Helen Tharp. 
He was welcomed into heaven by his wife Jean, his son Jerald David, his parents Dave and Vina Rittenbery, his brothers’ James and R. L. and his nephew Richard Rittenbery.
Funeral services will be Sunday, July 23, 2023, at 2 PM, in the chapel of Boyd Funeral Directors and Cremation Services. Burial will follow in Lola Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, from 12 PM until the funeral hour.
