Barbara Jean Reynolds

Mrs. Barbara Jean Reynolds, 86, of Smithland, KY, passed away Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at Salem Springlake Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Barbara was born June 3, 1939 in Ann Arbor, Michigan, to Mary Elizabeth (Sexton) Rednour and Vernon Rednour. The oldest of 8 children, Barbara Jean spent most of her childhood in Tiline, KY. 

Barbara married Ray Reynolds, Sr. in 1959 and they had one son, Ray Reynolds, Jr. Barbara retired from Owen Cleaners in Paducah where she worked as a Floor Lady and Seamstress. 

She is survived by her son Ray Reynolds, Jr. of Costa Rica; two sisters, Betty Couch and Bessie Jones; and many nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Danny Mayhugh and Leonard Mayhugh; three sisters, Shirley Rednour, Anita Ferrell and Marty Mayhugh.

Arrangements will be announced at a later date.

Arrangements are under the direction of Boyd Funeral Directors and Cremation Services in Salem.
