Mrs. Amanda Michelle (Edmonds) Locke, 48, of Salem, KY, passed away Sunday, July 21, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.
Amanda was a member of Salem Baptist where she sang and played the piano with the praise and worship team. She was a registered nurse, obtaining her BSN and was manager of infection prevention at Mercy Health Lourdes in Paducah. Amanda loved to worship the Lord and volunteered in many capacities at church. Amanda was a wonderful wife, mother, daughter and friend to all who knew her.
Amanda is survived by her loving husband, Kenny Locke of Salem; her children, Alexandra Eve “Lexi” (Waylon) Wood of Paducah, Bryce Dalen Waters of Salem, Brooklyn Elizabeth Waters of Salem, Braden (Lauren) Locke of Salem, and Aaron Locke of Salem; brother, Matthew (Christa) Edmonds of Ledbetter; parents, Tim and Vanita Edmonds of Hampton; grandmother, Evelyn Edmonds of Hampton; nieces and nephews: Andrew and Alexis Edmonds, Makenzi Jones, Riley and Ethan Edmonds; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Amanda was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, W.C. Edmonds; and her maternal grandparents, Mural and Lorine Barnes.
Funeral services will be Friday, July 26, 2024, at 1 PM at Salem Baptist Church with Rev’s Jim Wring and Josh Bumpus officiating. Burial will follow in Hampton Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, after 4 PM, at Salem Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made dropped off or mailed to: Amanda Locke Scholarship Fund, C/O Famers Bank and Trust Company, 216 West Main Street, Salem, KY 42078. Scholarship fund memorial contributions will also be accepted at Amanda's visitation and funeral services.
Arrangements are under the direction of Boyd Funeral Directors and Cremation Services in Salem.
