Peggy Jean (McDowell) Hurley

Mrs. Peggy Jean Hurley, 70, of Paducah, KY, passed away on February 22, 2019 at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, KY.

Mrs. Hurley attended Smyrna Baptist Church in Paducah, KY.  She enjoyed reading, traveling, spending time with family and watching Law and Order.

She is survived by her daughter, Gina Ray Hurley and life partner Trent Barefield of Smithland, KY; son, Nick Hurley  and wife, Heather of Burna, KY; sisters, Alice Dunning of Hampton, KY and Nola Rodgers of Ledbetter, KY; brothers, James McDowell of Eddyville, KY, Roy McDowell of Ledbetter, KY, Vaden McDowell of Paducah, KY, and Gary McDowell of Ledbetter, KY; and six grandchildren, Jarred McDowell and wife, Hope, Eve Zahner and husband, Justin, Addyson Whyte, Elyssa Hurley, Anthony Whyte and Hayden Hurley.

She was preceded in death by her husband Don Hurley; and parents, Thomas Wayne and Rena Marie Fires McDowell.

Funeral services will be 1 PM, Monday, February 25, 2019, at Boyd Funeral Directors and Cremation Services with Bro. Bill Mcalpin officiating.  Burial will follow at Carrsville Cemetery.

Friends may visit from 5 to 8 PM, Sunday, February 24, 2019, in the chapel of Boyd Funeral Directors and Cremation Services in Salem, KY.
