Kayla Marie Gilland

Miss Kayla Marie Gilland, 31, of Morganfield, KY, passed away Monday, December 10, 2018 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, IN.

Kayla was a tomboy who loved the outdoors. She liked to ride four wheelers, and animals loved her. She lived in Breckenridge Place in Morganfield, KY for six years, and for seven years before that in different nursing homes and hospitals. Kayla was a graduate of Union County High School.

Kayla is survived by her father, Rickie Gilland of Sturgis; one sister, Christie Shuecraft of Tolu; one brother, Robert Gilland of Morganfield; grandmother, Wilma Gilland of Salem; several nieces and nephews, Jamie Gilland, Adriona Williams, Summer Wiliams, and Cameron Shuecraft.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Vickie Gilland; and her grandfather, J.D. Gilland.

Funeral services will be Friday, December 14, 2018, at 2 PM, in the chapel of Boyd Funeral Directors and Cremation Services, with burial to follow at a later date in St. Williams Catholic Church Cemetery.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 PM on Thursday, December 13, 2018 in the chapel of Boyd Funeral Directors and Cremation Services.
