Mr. Alvin A. “Mac” McDonald, 93, of Carrsville, KY, passed away Monday, December 16, 2019 at his home.
Mr. McDonald was a retired Laborer and member of Carrsville Pentecostal Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting quail and turkey, being outdoors, playing cards and listening to music. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict having served for eight years in the United States Army.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Willa W. Workman McDonald of Carrsville, KY; sons, Duran McDonald (Sam) and Darrell McDonald (DeAnna) both of Carrsville; daughter, Anita McDonald of Carrsville; five grandchildren, Amanda Bridges (Garrett), Travis McDonald (Chassity), Alexa Black, Sy McDonald and Eli McDonald; five great grandchildren; and honorary family members, Bro. Mac and Sharon Dossett.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mildred Hurley and Tula Nelson; four brothers, L. E. “Buck” McDonald, Gordon McDonald, Joe McDonald and Trice McDonald; and his parents Arthur and Grace Belt McDonald.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 18, 2019, at 2 PM, in the chapel of Boyd Funeral Directors and Cremation Services with Rev’s Roger Howard and Chris McDonald to officiate. Burial will follow in Carrsville Cemetery.
Friends may call from 11:00 AM until the funeral hour on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 in the chapel of Boyd Funeral Directors and Cremation Services.
